Alice in Wonderland Movie Gains $116.1 Million Opening Weekend

Johnny Depp and Tim Burton have a successful opening weekend on their movie Alice in Wonderland (an update on Lewis Caroll’s “Alice’s Adventures in Wonderland” and “Through the Looking Glass”). It already reached $116.1 million and still rising. The movie gained the tops spot in terms of distribution studio, xgross, number of theater locations, average receipts per location, total gross and number of weeks in release. A list compiled by Holywood.com shows the proof that this movie soars high both in US and Canadian theatres.
