Brian Villoria and Donnie Nietes Will Defend Their Title in the Philippines
Brian “The Hawaiian Punch” Villoria and Donnie “Ahas” Nietes will defend their titles in the Philippines. The fight was scheduled on January 23, and will be held at the Cuneta Astrodome in Pasay City. Villoria will defend his International Boxing Federation (IBF) light flyweight championship belt against Colombian Carlos Tamara.
On the other hand, Nietes will defend his title for the fourth time, originally he will defend it on Ivan “Polito” Meneses from Mexico but the boxer pulled out from the fight. He will now face Mexican, Jesus “Negrito” Silvestre (15-1, with 12 KOs). Another Filipino boxer is in the undercard, he is Jimrex “Executioner” Jaca.
