Yes they exist! I thought it was just a rumor that these two gigantic Philippine peso bills were made by the Central Bank of the Philippines.  They are legal tender notes released in 1998, during the celebration of 100^th Year of the Philippine Independence.

The Php 2000 has a dimension of 216mmx133mm and only 2,000 pieces were issued. Look at the picture:

On the other hand the Php 100,000 has a dimension of 8.5” x 14”, bigger than a long bond paper and only 1,000 pieces of this peso bill were issued. It was recognized by the Guinness Book of World Records as the world’s largest legal tender note in terms of size.

You thought nobody can beat him, right? The eight-time world champion Manny Pacquiao finally meets his match.

Elaine Gardiola beat him as this year’s… Philippine’s top individual taxpayer. Manny Pacquiao, a multi-millionaire boxing champion was unseated by a construction company owner based in Batangas province. Last 2008, Pacquiao was the number one Filipino taxpayer while Gardiola was only on the fourth place. But recently, the Bureau of Internal Revenue released a list last Tuesday, and there you can see the difference between the two. Manny Pacquiao’s tax due of 7.41 million pesos was belittled by Gardiola’s 59.54 million pesos. Wow that’s a huge amount! I just wish those taxes will be used properly by the government.

China, the country with almost one-fifth of the world’s population might cancel the “One-Child Policy” next year. Due to the need of workers and the age gap between young ones and elders became an economical factor, five provinces in China was planned to allow second births but only if at least one spouse is an only child. As of now China’s population is 1.3 billion. The said relax on the “one-child  policy” was not yet confirmed by the National Population and Family Planning Commission because as of now they refuse to be interviewed. After the five provinces with low birth rates, Beijing, Shanghai and four more provinces will follow and in 2013 or 2014, it might be implemented nationally.

China’s car sales according to China Passenger Car Association soared to 10.3 million and total vehicle sales are estimated at 13.6 million (12.7 million sales of cars and light trucks and 900,000 bigger vehicles in 2009).
