Most of Walmart stores will be open this Easter Sunday, you can still buy your Easter gifts and Easter dinner items. Some Walmart stores will be open on their normal operating hours, so Easter shoppers can still shop for the items you need. Try to call before deciding to leave just to be sure. But if you are still in doubt that a Walmart store near you might not be open, try to visit their website, www.walmart .com and click the “Store Finder” tab near the top of the page, just enter your zip code and state and that’s it, you can now verify if it’s open. Of course there’s no assurance if all Walmart stores will be open, it depends on what region it was located.  Here’s another thing, some of these stores will be open 24-hours, and some of them might close around 10 o’clock this evening. The sun-maid girl’s face has been Lorraine Collett Petersen before it was changed to a raisin girl that looks like a Barbie Doll in Amish attire. It started in 1915 in Fresno, California, according to the company’s website, “Petersen was discovered drying her black hair curls in the sunny backyard of her parents”. After that incident, the company asked her to pose for a watercolor painting holding a basket of grapes while wearing a sunbonnet, and that became the Sun-Maid trademark.

But now, changes have been done to the well-known icon. The company said that the changes made to the 90-year-old icon were actually introduced three years ago, Barry Kriebel, Sun-Maid president said that the decision to make changes was inspired by the desire to educate consumers about healthy living choices. “This is as good a time as any to get on the wave of health and nutrition. You’re not going to see her dancing or kicking up her heels out in the vineyard, but have her do what is appropriate for her to do, based on her history but also being a contemporary person living in the 21st century.”

There are rumors that they will give the Sun-Maid girl a new name, and they will have advertisements that this girl will do some things modern women do these days. The image on all Sun-Maid product packaging will remain the same, as the new version will only be featured in product advertisements.

One night, I decided to invent a new dish from noodles. I think I’m out of my mind that night. I’m out of food supply, and all that was left in my grocery was this instant chicken noodle. I decided to buy something from a nearby store and bought these ingredients.

Ingredients:

1 pc instant chicken noodle (P9.00)

2 pcs egg (P12.00)

1 pc hotdog (sliced diagonally) (P8.00)

1 pc chicken broth cube (P6.00)

3 cups of water (Free!)

That’s all!

Cooking Procedures:

1. Put 3 cups of water in the cooking pot. Wait till it boils.
2. When already boiling, put the sliced hotdog, broth cube and the noodles’ seasoning.
3. After 10 minutes put the eggs, don’t stir, you might break the egg yolk. It will not look good haha!
4. Put the noodles if the eggs are half cooked already. Then after 5 minutes, it’s done!

For me, I liked the taste, you should try it too. You may put a little ground pepper to put a little spice. The dish is good for two persons only and it costs me P35.00 only!
