Visa was formerly known as BankAmericard and it is also the first all-purpose credit card that has a successful implementation in 1958. BankAmericard’s credibility was known not only in the U.S. but also to other countries. Why? This credit card is unique because it is not tied to a specific store. Credit cards nowadays are usually issued by a certain merchant or vendor but this card can only be used to within the stores they specified. Well, they do get customer’s loyalty but it seems that they have limited its use.

In 1976, BankAmericard’s name was changed to Visa, this name was chosen because it is recognizable by most people in different countries. By the way, there are three cards which visa offers, you can choose from debit card, credit card or prepaid card.

Visa wants you to fully utilize the use of the card you have, even though they are internationally recognized, they have certain rules for their merchant and this contains the following:

• No required minimum purchase
• No required maximum purchase
• No surcharge on any transaction

Cardholders are Visa’s best assets so they make sure that you will feel secured in every transaction you made. They have fraud protection and if ever you encounter any unresolved transactions, Visa is willing to help up to the point that you will have the goods or services you’ve paid for.

The newest phone made by Nokia was unveiled, it is the Nokia C3-01.5, the first phone made with the new hardware platform. It is included in the S40 series of handsets that will be launched soon. This S40 phone has a 1GHz processor and 512MB RAM, this phone resembles the C3-01, almost exact if you would compare. It has the Touch and Type feature, only more high-end because of it processor and 512MB RAM…and the rest are just the same.

Israel is the only country that banned the iPad, it was about their concern that the wireless tablet will disrupt the signals of other devices. According to Yechiel Shabi, a ministry spokesman, he said that their Communications Ministry conducted thorough inspection before allowing the iPad in their country.  The ministry just wanted to clarify that the series of tests they performed has nothing to do to the issue that the iPad’s wireless signal could cause interference to the signals of the military equipments.  As a matter of fact, 10 units of the device were confiscated in the airport, but they are now allowed to be retrieved by the owners.

Even though this may look awkward, Shabi and the Communications Ministry just wanted to test the device. Shabi said that they have nothing against the wireless tablet, and in fact, they like the iPhone, also an Apple-made gadget.

Masafumi Masamoto, Executive Vice President of Sharp Corp. in Japan, stated in a conference that they (Sharp) are one step closer to 3D displays. It was confirmed that Sharp Corp. in Japan will now join the battle of the 3D TVs. They will start selling 3D-capable LCD TV’s in Japan this summer, they believed that 3D TVs will be the next growth driver in the industry.  They are proud of having the first “3D TVs that will use the four-primary-color technology, which utilizes yellow on top of the three conventional primary colors of red, green and blue, enabling the TV sets to offer brighter, more vivid images”, but to you need to wear special glasses in able to watch. Sharp Corp. will join larger rivals such as Samsung Electronics Co Ltd, Sony Corp., and Panasonic, however, Panasonic and Samsung already released their TV models while Sony plans to start in June. Sharp did not confirmed how many units of the 3D LCD TVs will be produced but they plan to boost their sales with it just like the recent target they hit, they have successfully achieved their sales target of 10 million units of LCD TV.
