After Pacquiao sued Mayweather for defamation which is about Floyd’s accusation that the Filipino Boxer is using performance-enhancing drugs, the US Federal Magistrate Judge Robert Johnston denied Floyd’s emergency motion. Floyd wants his testimony to be delayed because he will undergo training for his upcoming bout against Victor Ortiz on September 17.

 

But Judge Robert Johnston denied his motion and ordered him to give his sworn testimony under oath which will begin on June 17. According to a source, Mayweather doesn’t plan to show up though he was ordered to do so.

“Pacquiao attorney Daniel Petrocelli said he received a letter from Mayweather attorney Mark Tratos saying the boxer would not appear at the deposition Friday because he planned to appeal the order for him to be there.” –ABS CBN News

It was confirmed by Sarangani Congressman Manny Pacquiao that there will be a match that will happen in November 12. He confirmed the news during the victory celebration party that Gov. Chavit Singson gave to him.  He will settle the controversy between him and the Mexican Juan Manuel Marquez and he also confirmed that Juan Ma already signed the contract last May 19.

They have their first match in 2004 where Juan Manuel won, then after 4 years they meet again and their fight ended in a split decision wherein the judges favored Pacquiao. The catchweight for the next bout is 145 lbs, and Pacquiao said that he will start his training in September. The eight-division world champion will finally end the undying issue with his long-time rival.

I wonder what’s on his mind. Manny Pacquiao keeps on doing unexpected stuffs, and I think I like it, I love surprises. After winning his seat to the Congress, Manny will release his recording of “Sometimes When We Touch”, before his match in Las Vegas against Shane Mosley. The recording was made with the song’s creator, Dan Hill and it will be released on April 28.

The said song was already performed by Manny on a U.S. late night TV show, “The Jimmy Kimmel Show” which aired last November 2010, and he will be back to the show next week for the debut of the new track.

Manny Pacquiao, not just an ordinary boxer, a multi-title holder, a public servant, an actor, and now a singer, what’s next… concert king?

Yes they do! Manny Pacquiao and Nonito Donaire dominated this year’s “100 Best Fighters of 2010” by Ring Magazine. The eight-title champion Pacquiao ranked first while Nonito “Flash” Donaire ranked fifth. Actually, Manny was also voted by fight fans as the “2010 Fighter of the Year” also by Ring Magazine. This magazine by the way is considered as the “bible of boxing”, this just means that this is not an ordinary recognition for boxers.

The list also includes Floyd Mayweather Jr. who ranked 2nd (haha! Buti nga puro ka kasi palusot, takot naman), “Sugar” Shane Mosley, the one who will be faced by Pacquiao ranked 17th, Juan Manuel Marquez ranked 4th and Donaire’s next opponent Fernando Montiel ranked seventh.

You thought nobody can beat him, right? The eight-time world champion Manny Pacquiao finally meets his match.

Elaine Gardiola beat him as this year’s… Philippine’s top individual taxpayer. Manny Pacquiao, a multi-millionaire boxing champion was unseated by a construction company owner based in Batangas province. Last 2008, Pacquiao was the number one Filipino taxpayer while Gardiola was only on the fourth place. But recently, the Bureau of Internal Revenue released a list last Tuesday, and there you can see the difference between the two. Manny Pacquiao’s tax due of 7.41 million pesos was belittled by Gardiola’s 59.54 million pesos. Wow that’s a huge amount! I just wish those taxes will be used properly by the government.

As I watch the pre-fight special of the Pacquiao-Margarito bout, something caught my attention, and this is more thrilling than the boxing match scheduled to happen this November 13, 2010. Do you really know what it is?

I’ll tell you now, the more thrilling event that I saw is…. “Pacquiao’s Interview” after the weigh in! Hahaha! I’m so happy on what I saw! Manny Pacquiao was interviewed by a reporter and asked him several questions.  As I listen to his answers all I can say is “WOW!”. Manny improved his grammar, and he can now communicate effectively. Though he is not that fluent on what he is saying, you can now understand what he wants you to know. Unlike the previous interviews that he encountered, it’s better this time. To my fellow “kababayan”, kaya mo yan Manny!

Gotcha! Haha! Just kidding! I saw this picture while searching for something to upload on my recent post. I accidentally saw this image that is actually a prototype of Manny Pacquiao for a collectible figurine that was launched in San Diego Convention Center last July 22, 2010. Manny Pacquiao’s vinyl action figure was launched during the Comic-Con that happened there.

The said action figure was sold out, about 500 of it was pre-ordered and the Comic-Con is the last chance to those collectibles enthusiasts to get one of Manny’s cartoonized action figure.
