Facebook Versus Friendster
[ad#Google Adsense End of Post]
Based on my own observations and research Facebook had already dominated Friendster. According to Alexa‘s graph shown below, it was very obvious nowadays that more and more people are really hooked on Facebook.
As you can see on the graph Facebook (red line) had a very fast increase in daily reach than Friendster (blue line).
What might be the reason behind this?
I have accounts on these two sites, and I noticed these things:
(Sorry but I can’t help not to compare.)
1. Friendster seemed like a loner while Facebook has features where you can interact with someone in “real time”. What do I mean? The Online chatting feature of Facebook.
2. Getting Friends: In Friendster, you should know first the e-mail address of someone before adding it up to your friends’ list, sometimes this is not needed when that person has a public profile which is easy to add as a friend. In Facebook, they would suggest lists of friends that you might know.
3. Connectivity: They both have these different “groups” but what’s good about Facebook is that it is also connected with Plurk and Twitter. You and your friends can get in touch once they linked all of their accounts. Commenting on each post is very easy as well.
4. Fun and Enjoyment: Facebook offers different applications, different games and quizzes that really are very amusing and fun to play. Quite addicting, even though many are just Flash Games. (I’m addicted to Farmtown, and I’m a Networked Blogs Member).
As of now these are my comparisons between the two sites. They sure helped us a lot reaching our friends, relatives and meeting new people. By the way I will just repeat that this is just a comparison between those two, I don’t have any bad intentions with this post.

Friendster is so boring, but it can also help to communicate with your family and friends,,
