Are you a blogger without a Facebook account? I suggest you should have one. About four months ago, I myself don’t have a Facebook account. I just signed up when I realized that I’m the only one in the office that doesn’t have one (LOL). Aside from the different games and applications that Facebook offers us to use, I found out that Facebook can also be used as a tool in improving our blogs’ traffic and popularity.
Here are some techniques that I used:
1. Use NetworkedBlogs
It is an application that links all the bloggers that use it. They have a discussion board where all bloggers can interact with each other. Also, when you linked your site’s URL it will have an automatic pingback on your latest post.
2. “Follow Me” Widget on NetworkedBlogs
Networked Blogs have a widget that bloggers can use and they may also put it on their blog’s sidebar. This widget has a button where you can follow a blog that you like. I tested it and luckily, some bloggers do follow me.
3. How to have followers using the NetworkedBlogsWidget
As a new member of the application, I also want to have someone to follow my blog. Writing good posts is not enough because some will just read your post and forget to follow you. What did I do? I call it the “Give and Take” process, using the discussion board I wrote a post, “Follow Me and I Follow You!” This tactic is not my original, I just imitate some bloggers’ post, and it was really effective.
4. Connect Your PLURK and TWITTER to Facebook
If you have a Plurk and/or Twitter account, why not link it to Facebook? I’m using it, better try it. Follow me on PLURK / TWITTER
5. Use Different Utility Applications such as:
DIGG, PING.FM, TUMBLR, MIRROR BLOG, SOCIAL RSS and many more..
Hope this will help you guys!
