After 3 months of waiting, Apple finally released the firmware upgrade 3.1.3. It’s just a simple update which can be downloaded to iTunes and the said firmware will fix minor issues with the device. It is also about the accuracy of the iPhone 3GS battery level, the launch consistency of some third-party apps, and fixes a bug that caused some apps to crash while using the Japanese Kana keyboard. The firmware is also available to iPhone SDK, it is required to the SDK because it has Xcode, without the update it will not function well because it will not be recognized by the unit.
Here’s how to update to iPhone 3.1.3
1. Connect your iPhone or iPod Touch to your PC.
2. Launch the iTunes application and click the Check for updates button.
3. iTunes will show you the above window saying: “iTunes will update your iPhone to iPhone 3.1.3 software and will verify the update with Apple“. Click on the Update button.
