Juan Manuel Lopez Successfully Claimed the World Boxing Organization Featherweight Belt

Last Saturday, The Theater at Madison Square Garden, became the venue of the bout between Juan Manuel Lopez and Steven Luevano. After 44 seconds on the seventh round Lopez  successfully defeated Luevano, his sacrificed of giving up the WBO’s super bantamweight title finally was rewarded. Lopez now has a record of 28 wins, 0 loss, with 25 of his wins came from knock out. Benjie Esteves was the assigned referee during the fight, and he stopped the fight when Luevano was obviously staggered. Top Rank wants to match the fighters later in the year, perhaps in late summer or in the fall.
