Krispy Kreme Challenge 2010

The students of North Carolina State University in Raleigh North Carolina started a race in 2004, it started with only ten (10) participants but last 2009, 5,500 runners joined.

The student-operated race held annually (not affiliated by the Krispy Kreme company) which is for the benefit of North Carolina Children’s Hospital will be held this February 6, 2010. All participants will start at the NC State Tower and will have a 2-mile run to the Krispy Kreme store in Peace St., Raleigh, North Carolina. When they reach the store they should eat a dozen of doughnuts and then go back to where they started, another 2-mile run. The race starts at 9:00 a.m. and for the streets that will be closed for the event, Pullen Street to Hillsborough Street will be closed from Enterprise to Woodburn and Boylan to Woodburn from 8 a.m. to 11 a.m., St Mary’s Street closed from Peace to Hillsborough St from 8:15 a.m. to 10:30 a.m.

    hmmm that’s a long run, they will really need a dozen donuts to give them energy to run such a long run.
