Medallion of Last Russian Czar to Moscow Returned by US

“This detective story is a wonderful example of successful cooperation, which allows us to improve relations between Russia and the United States,” John Beyrle said.

Last Thursday, John Beyrle, the US Ambassador to Russia returned the lost medallion of the last Russian Czar to Moscow after it was recovered in an online auction by the US Investigators. The said medallion has a portrait of Czar Peter the Great and was in the ownership of the family of the last Russian Czar, Nichilas II. It was stolen in the State Hermitage museum located in  St. Petersburg. The largest museum in Russia has a total of 200 exhibits amounting to $5 million dollars but only 35 were recovered.
