Pacquiao as Philippines’ Athlete of the Decade

On March 1, 2010, Many Pacquiao will have recognition as the Athlete of the Decade, the event will be held at the Manila Hotel. After gaining “Athlete of the Year” five times (in 2002, 2003, 2004, 2006, and 2008)he is no longer eligible to the title, he should be elevated to a higher one. Just last year, Pacquiao was included in the Hall of Fame by the Philippines’ oldest media organization.

Pacquiao is the first and only boxer who successfully win seven world titles in seven different weight classes (flyweight, super-bantamweight, featherweight, junior lightweight, lightweight, junior welterweight, and welterweight). He is also considered as the top pound-for-pound fighter and one of the best southpaw fighters of all time.
