Sega have announced last September that they are developing a new game and they coded it as “Project Needlemouse.” Just recently the mystery console game has been leaked and totally revealed that it was Sonic the Hedgehog 4: Episode 1, and it will be released this coming July. It will be available in these platforms, XBLA, PSN and WiiWare, all will be available this coming summer. Only Sonic will be the playable character in this new game going to be released by Sega. The game will be episodic, and Sega confirmed to Gamespot that the game will support online leaderboards and motion control on Wii and PS3.

Finally! After months of teasing, Sega has revealed it. I’m pretty sure that Sonic fans out there are rejoicing! Sonic is back and it does offer sublime 2D gameplay through beautifully rendered HD environments. I’d still be keeping my eyes open with reviews.
