The Google Phone Finally Launched
The Google phone launched was confirmed, Google handed out these phones to their employees and they are now showing it to their friends. The issue started when a Google Program Manager posted a Twitter message saying “Stuck in mass of traffic leaving work post last all hands of 2009, ZOMG we had fireworks and we all got the new Google phone. It’s beautiful”
Another guy, Jason Howell said that “The new Google Phone runs on HTC hardware. I saw it with Android 2.1. Homescreen has new visual enhancements like animated desktop wallpaper……..Supposedly, Google employees were given tons of these phones today, unlocked.”
Another Tweet described the Google phone a sexy beast, an iPhone on beautifying steroids. For now all we know is that is an HTC phone – probably the Passion, a distant cousin to the beautiful HD2 – with large touchscreen and it’s GSM unlocked. The Google phone was said to be unlocked and HTC-built and soon will be released on January.
