
Toyota Prius, a hybrid gas-electric car which is a very popular car among users is now the headache of Toyota. Recently, many people who owned such car called the Japanese automaker regarding the brake problems specifically about the malfunctioning of the brake system on bumpy and slippery roads. Since July, Toyota already received 14 complaints according to the Japanese government. An accident happened last July 2009 when a car crashed head to head to another car at an intersection, the 13 other reports happened from December 2009 to January 2010. The government (Japan’s ministry) already ordered Toyota Motor Corp. to investigate about it. In the U.S., the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration has received more than 100 complaints about the brakes in the latest Prius model. Two of those complaints involved crashes that resulted in injuries.
