U.S. Wins Overall Medal Count in the Vancouver 2010 Winter Olympics

Last Saturday, the United States have won 36 medals; 9 gold, 14 silver and 13 bronze it surpassed the previous record of 34 medals won in Salt Lake City in 2002. The Russians failed to achieve the 40 medals they predicted, same goes to the Canadians who expect to dominate the event because of the home country advantage. The United States are not done yet, they are still confident that they will have another gold or silver medal in the men’s hockey game. The hockey final is between the U.S and Canada, and the game will be held this Sunday. The American hockey team already beat the Canadian last Sunday and that was the first time in 50 years. Canada is known as the hockey superpower, the question is, can the American team beat them twice?
