Van Gogh’s Latest Authenticated Painting

The “Le Blute-Fin Mill” was the latest painting authenticated by the experts and it is now displayed at the Van Gogh Museum in Amsterdam. The masterpiece was said to be painted in 1886 and was bought by Dirk Hannema in 1974. Dirk was a respected director of the Rotterdam Museum Boymans, he died in 1984 at age 89. He claimed that he have several paintings of Van Gogh, Rembrandt and seven Vermeers.

After 35 years of being not displayed because an art collector bought it in Paris, it finally was proved that it is really one of the Dutch master’s masterpiece. The painting went on show just this Wednesday in the Museum de Fundatie located in the town of Zwolle, Netherlands.
